NEET 2023 Registration Process
The NEET 2023 registration process started on 6th March 2023 and will continue till 6th April 2023 up to 09:00 PM. Interested candidates can register for the exam by visiting the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA) at https://neet.nta.nic.in/. Before completing the application, candidates should carefully read the information bulletin.
The NEET 2023 application process is divided into the following steps:
Step 1: Registration – Candidates must submit their name, date of birth, mobile number, email address, and other personal information in this step to create a unique application number.
Step 2: Filling the Application Form – Candidates must complete this stage by entering their academic information as well as other details like their address and other credentials.
Step 3: Uploading Documents – Candidates must complete this stage by uploading scanned copies of their identification documents in the necessary format, including their signatures and photo.
Step 4: Payment of Fees – Candidates must pay the application fee in this stage using one of the accepted payment methods, including a debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI.
Step 5: Submission of Application Form – Candidates must submit their application form and print a copy of the confirmation page after finishing all of the aforementioned steps.
Eligibility Criteria for NEET UG 2023
Candidates must confirm that they fulfill the criteria established by the NTA before submitting an application for the NEET UG 2023 exam. The following are the eligibility criteria for taking up NEET UG 2023:
- Age Limit: Candidates must be at least 17 years old. There is no upper age limit.
- Educational Qualifications: Candidates must have completed a class 12 exam, or an equivalent exam, with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as their main subjects from an accredited board. Candidates who are appearing for the class 12 examination in 2023 are also eligible to apply for NEET 2023.
- Minimum Marks: Candidates belonging to the general category should have secured a minimum of 50% marks in class 12 or equivalent examination. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category should have secured a minimum of 40% marks in class 12 or equivalent examination.
Increase in Fees for All Categories
The NTA has announced an increase in the application fee for NEET 2023 for all categories of candidates. The new application fee structure is as follows:
Fee Payable by Candidates
- General/UR – ₹1700
- EWS/OBC-NCL– ₹1600
- SC/ST/PWD/Third Gender – ₹900
- Candidates outside India – ₹9,500
Exam Pattern
- The Entrance Test shall consist of 200 MCQs (four options with a single correct answer) from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany and Zoology) in pen and paper mode.
- 50 questions in each subject will be divided into two Sections (A and B).
- The duration of the Examination will be 200 minutes (03 hours 20 minutes) from 02:00 PM to 05:20 PM (Indian Standard Time) and shall be uniform for all candidates.
- NEET (UG) – 2023 will be conducted in 13 languages i.e. English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
